Agnetha has more fame for her part in ABBA instead of as a solo performer in Sweden. ABBA was one of the biggest pop groups of all-time as well as globally. When she left school at age 15 to pursue a career in music and performing, she was soon singing in Bernt Enghardt's group and attracted a fan following. With Enghardt's help, she was able to secure her first record deal. She soon topped the charts in Sweden when she released her debut single. Bjorn became her spouse, and they joined ABBA. ABBA was one of most popular pop bands in the entire world during the period of eight years. The group received platinum and gold awards across the world. After ABBA was released, she had three albums including 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me' and 'Eyes of a Lady and 'I Stand Alone', all that were hugely successful in Sweden as well as gaining popularity in Europe too, but they never quite made a mark on the U.S. In the late '80s, as her career ended and she entered into an unofficial retirement.
