Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor who is best known for her performance as Missandei (HBO's fantasy show Game of Thrones) from 2011, was an British actress. Emmanuel was born in Southend-on-the-Sea a resort in Essex and became interested in the performing arts at the age of three. She was noticed by her mother that she was a performer, and at the age of Nathalie was three-years-old, her parents signed her up for the singing, dancing and acting classes. Emmanuel became a fast-growing actor and, by the late 90s she had portrayed the character of Nala as Nala in The West End show of the acclaimed show "The Aristocrat." Emmanuel began to audition in her teens for TV and film roles. The first time she was noticed was 2007, when she got chosen to play Sasha Valentine, a British soap-opera "Hollyoaks", (Channel 4 95between 2007 and 2010). Emmanuel was Sasha Valentine's character for four seasons before stepping down from Hollyoaks by the year 2010. Emmanuel had her second break just three years later after she was signed as Missandei on HBO's Game of Thrones. She was the Daenerys' interpreter (played by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel was a part of every season of "Game of Thrones" from the very beginning to the series' finale.
